Summer
Children's Day Camps
Our children's summer day programs, Young Archaeologists, Time Travelers Day, Curious Curators, and All Aboard offer children an introduction to history that's immersive and exciting. Aimed at ages 5-11, our summer day camp's are sure to provide an experience that young history lovers will never forget. From dinosaurs to trains, come experience all that the Agassiz-Harrison Museum has to offer.




Time Travelers Day
July 18th and August 22nd
1:00 pm - 3:30 pm
This educational program will introduce children to the daily life of a child during Agassiz’s earliest years. They will try traditional chores, like washing clothes on a scrub board and churning butter. In addition, children will explore historical games that were common before the age of electronics. Youth will also get to weave on a cardboard loom and make a fun craft to take home.
$10 per child




Young Archaeologists
June 27th, July 25th, August 29th
1:00 pm - 3:30 pm
Do you have a young one who loves dinosaurs? Then they're gonna love Young Archeologists! In this program children have the opportunity to be a young archeologist for a day. This program's activities include digging through a sandbox for artifacts, painting wooden dinosaurs, participating in an interactive dinosaur quiz, and doing a cookie excavation. For snack time children will be provided with a juice box and a cookie.

Curious Curators
July 4th
1:00 pm - 3:30 pm
The Agassiz-Harrison Museum offers a unique opportunity for young people to gain firsthand experience and discover how their passions can align with museum work. Youth will get a behind the scenes tour of the museum and its archives. They will also get a chance to create their own artifact and learn more about how a museum creates its exhibits. A snack will be included.
$10 per child




All Aboard
1:00 pm - 3:30 pm
Ready to learn all about trains past and present? Join us for a fun day of games, crafts, and snacks. This special event is perfect for young train enthusiasts and curious minds alike. Youth will create their own train to take home and learn about different railway jobs from conductors to engineers. Whether your child dreams of driving a locomotive or just loves trains, this is a day they won’t want to miss. Come join the adventure and get ready for a journey through railway history and beyond!
