1979
In the late 1970's an ad in the newspaper was put out for local people to attend a meeting at the Harrison Memorial Hall by Paul Inkman. Not long after, a society was formed called the Harrison Lake Historical Society. Helen Vaughan became president and the meetings were moved to Agassiz, as the majority of the members were Agassiz residents.
