The
Agassiz-Harrison Historical Society is a non-profit organization
that manages the Agassiz-Harrison Museum & Archives, operating
solely on the financial support of grants, the community, and its
members.This support helps offset the ongoing daily operating costs
of keeping up our 1893 CPR station, which houses the museum &
archives. As a non-profit society, your financial aid is the key
to the continuation of our presence in the community. There are
several ways in which to donate to the historical society. First
of all, we accept cash donations for which tax deductible receipts
will be issued. The second method is through becoming a member of
the historical society (Click
here for more information). Thirdly, your support can
also be shown through making purchases in the Local-Motive
Gift Shop. Finally, the In Memory wall provides a means
for families to remember loved ones (more information below). |
IN
MEMORY WALL |
Honor
the memory of your loved ones passed, by having a photograph on
display in the waiting room of our 1893 CPR station. For a $100.00
donation a 4"x 6" photograph of your choosing will be
mounted on the In Memory wall. This is a wonderful opportunity for
you and the Agassiz-Harrison Community to remember those who meant

AN ARTIFACT |
At
the Agassiz-Harrison Museum, we contain an extensive collection
of artifacts,
photographs,
and archives.
The items have been collected over the years through the generosity
of people in the community. We accept only artifacts pertaining
to the history of the Agassiz-Harrison area. This includes The District
of Kent, The Village of Harrison Hot Springs, the Harrison River
area, and Harrison Lake (including Port Douglas). We do accept objects
of all shapes and sizes, but cannot guarantee that we will accept
everything that fits this criteria. As a small facility we are limited
for space, but we do appreciate all offers and we urge you to
contact us
or come in to the museum if you have anything
that you would like to donate. |
